Niek Vink discusses how Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) is impacting Physiotherapy in the Netherlands.
In episode 2 of this informative and free webinar series, Niek shares his experiences on physiotherapists applying MSK ultrasound in clinical practice. He is a firm believer that adding this technique to the physiotherapists toolbox is very valuable for improving primary care diagnostics, patient education and can be very cost effective. He will show where the ultrasound sits in the clinical reasoning process for a primary care clinician but also where the limits lie. Physios are not trained radiologist so there is a limit as to what a physio should or shouldn’t scan. At the end he will also share his view on the prerequisites for successful implementation of the technique and what are the common pitfalls.

center for ultrasound (NT-e) and has trained > 800 physios in MSK ultrasound.
